Talking Therapies: A Humanistic Approach to Wellbeing
At times, life can be difficult, and managing everything on your own can feel overwhelming. You might experience a range of emotions—sadness, fear, hopelessness, or anger—and often, we keep these feelings inside, making things even harder.
Talking therapies offer a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained listener.

What Are Talking Therapies?
Talking therapies provide a way to discuss and process personal challenges, helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and find solutions that work for them. Unlike medical interventions, our approach is not about diagnosing or labelling. Instead, we offer humanistic support that empowers you to take control of your own life and make meaningful changes.

A Humanistic Model of Counselling
The counselling we offer is based on a Humanistic Model, which places you at the centre of everything. Our approach is not about imposing solutions but about walking alongside you on your journey. We believe that every individual has the potential for growth and self-discovery, and our role is to support you in realising your own answers.

Our therapeutic approaches include:
• Person-Centred Therapy – Focuses on creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings at your own pace.
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Helps you understand the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and develop strategies to manage challenges more
• Other Humanistic Approaches – A range of supportive methods that promote self-awareness, emotional healing, and personal growth.

Self-Actualisation: Becoming Your True Self
Our counselling service is about more than just coping with difficulties—it’s about enabling you to become who you truly are on your own terms. This process, known as self-actualisation, helps you move beyond limitations and external expectations to create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

We support you in living the life you choose, rather than the one that has been shaped by external pressures. Our role is to help you navigate your own unique path, providing guidance and encouragement as you discover your own strengths and direction.

A Free and Confidential Service for Young People
Our counselling service is FREE for young people aged 11-25. We provide a friendly, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
