Become a Youth Advisor and Break Barriers for Young Adult Carers
Help Shape the Future: Become a Youth Advisor and Break Barriers for Young Adult Carers
Are you a young carer or young adult carer aged 16 to 25? Are you interested in learning more about politics? Do you want to have your voice heard? If your answer is yes, then you should consider applying to be a youth advisor for the upcoming inquiry into ‘Removing the barriers to higher education, employment and training for young adult carers”.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers is launching its next inquiry – focusing on the barriers to higher education, employment and training opportunities for young adult carers.
The APPG is looking for a group of around 10 young carers/young adult carers from across the country to support the inquiry as youth advisors. Available for young people aged 16 to 25.
The youth advisors will be involved at every stage of the inquiry process – from helping design the questions for the call for evidence, to supporting the launch of the final report in Parliament later this year.
The Carers Trust is also looking for two of the youth advisors to take on the role of inquiry co-chair, working with the MPs on evidence sessions and making sure the inquiry stays on track.
All of the information can be found here at www.carers.org/appg deadline for applications is Sunday 11th May.
